How a Red carpet outfit looks amazing in shiny grey? Discover it now.
When it came to which colour I would love to match the white of couture super voluminous gown for Fashion Awards 2019, we were both, me and Maison Faliakos into embellishment, and fantasy. Firstly, It started with the concept of the contradiction between the British perspective, and tradition on party dressing. Secondly, the idea of the total view of grey silver sequinned catsuit worn underneath of a cloudy white looked so innovative, stylish, and unexpected.
Life isn’t black and white. It’s a million grey areas, don’t you find? Ridley Scott.
In my eyes, as a Fashion Stylist, silver-grey is the best colour in mixture with white to inspire new style ideas. Undoubtedly, it reflects and illuminates the way to creativity. For Maison Faliakos and me, silver represents the expert craftsmanship of Couture House and their dedication to a highly trained design.
However, I couldn’t imagine a better colour choice than silver-grey to wear a stylish, sophisticated, and elegant look. Just wore the next big colour trend on the Fashion Awards 2019, people’s way of looking at me at the Royal Albert Hall made me feel one thing: It is a breathtaking Fashion Awards look indeed.
What colour of shoes and jewellery match a white and shiny grey dress?
For my Fashion Awards 2019 dress, I enjoyed indeed to collaborate with Maria Mastori, a distinctive jewellery designer, and Stathis Samantas, a talented shoe designer in Greece. For me, this collaboration was a constant dialogue between handmade art and irresistible beauty of colour.
Firstly, it was about an unexpected mules design made of bright white Nappa, and parts of transparent PVC. A unique shoe design made by Stathis Samantas, which made my final look to stand out of the crowd. Aquatic blue detail of my shoes reflected the elegance of my deep blue jewellery earrings, and ring designed exclusively for Fashion Awards 2019 by Maria Mastory. The palette of blue colour combined exceptionally with the white and grey silver of my couture gown. I was fascinated by this surprising, yet so beautiful colour mixture.
My couture outfit for Fashion Awards 2019 is a dialogue with contemporary jewellery, couture techniques, and handmade shoe design. My daily life as a Fashion Stylist is to create a new fashion style, and together to start a new adventure through creativity. The joy of being creative is beyond any expectation for me. “Who is afraid of the future?” is my journey through design imagination. Fearless and extrovert, yet romantic and fairy, I’ll take this knowledge on board, and I’ll become self-curator of my style. That is fashion for me.
“Fashion is part of the daily air, and it changes all the time, with all the events. You can even see the approaching of a revolution in clothes. You can see and feel everything about clothes.” —Diana Vreeland
