In other exciting news, the British Fashion Council has announced the 2023/24 BFC NEWGEN recipients. This program is the BFC’s most internationally celebrated emerging talent support and showcasing initiative.
Sarah Mower MBE, BFC Ambassador for Emerging Talent & Chief Critic, Vogue Runway, have selected the newest additions to the BFC NEWGEN 2023/24 cohort. What identifies the recipients is creativity, unique aesthetic, and innovative approach to design.

I am proud to share today that the 2023/24 BFC NEWGEN recipients are Aaron Esh, Ancuța Sarca, Chet Lo, Conner Ives, Derrick, Di Petsa, EFTYCHIA, Feben, Harri, Helen Kirkum, Kazna Asker, LABRUM London, Leo Carlton, MASHA POPOVA, Paolo Carzana, Robyn Lynch, S.S. DALEY, Saul Nash, Sinéad O’Dwyer, The Winter House, TOLU COKER, and yuan wang.

With the inclusion of these talented individuals, London Fashion Week 2023 promises to be an event with a significant impact on the global fashion industry. Above all, London fashion continues to thrive, and I am excited to attend LIVE as Fashion Editor for NEWGEN Fashion. London Fashion Week 2023 will take the fashion industry by storm from the 9th to the 12th of June. However, the British Fashion Industry proves that London is at the forefront of the cultural zeitgeist.

In 2023, the British Fashion Council’s NEWGEN initiative will celebrate its 30th anniversary. This program will showcase emerging fashion designers, including the late Lee Alexander McQueen, at London Fashion Week to international media and retailers. In addition, NEWGEN Fashion aims to foster the best emerging fashion design talent and build creative and responsible businesses for the fashion industry’s future.

Since its inception in 1993, NEWGEN has helped to launch the careers of countless designers and businesses onto the international stage. However, It is the BFC’s most recognized designer showcasing and development scheme. It adds value to designers who possess creativity, a strong aesthetic, and an innovative approach to design. In short, NEWGEN offers showcasing opportunities at London Fashion Week, financial grants, and mentoring to develop critical skills to future-proof their businesses.
