Furthermore, Mata recreates the “Pink Matrix” universe with a new story to transform her creative design inspiration into an unexpected journey of different galaxies: the “Crystal Galaxy”, the “Flower Crystal Galaxy”, and the “Strawberry Galaxy” revive unmissable memories from her grandmother’s apartment. A place full of approximately 150 flowers of all different kinds and a kitchen full of candy and strawberries defines what sustainable fashion means to Mata Durikovic.

Today, the PINK MATRIX Concept is a new vocabulary to move on and evolve the conversation about slow fashion brands: it is about a new mindset to create sustainable fashion articles through innovative bio-luxury brands. However, Mata Durikovic has developed starch/fruit and jelly-based bioplastic into an edible fabric called “Bioplastic Crystal Leather”.In short, easy to cook, this fabric becomes appliable as a layer into a wet texture that air dries within the next 2-3 days, depending on the humidity of the environment.
As soon as it dries, it is ready to peel it off and make into a product. However, the young Slovak designer reinvents garments through childhood memories and creates a brilliant new material. Furthermore, in the “Bioplastic Crystal Leather” by Mata, it is possible to embroider with an embroidery machine, print it using UV digital printing and use it as a 3D material instead of traditional embroidery. Still, This is a collection that you cook, edit and fully compostable in the garden. Design creativity involves creative methods to do things with a vision of a new world ahead.
