♦About Christine De Oliveira, London Fashion Photographer:
I am Christine, of French-Portuguese descent by birth and with a heart that belongs everywhere. Throughout my life, I have constantly searched for my true identity. For a few years, I attempted to conform to what society considers a life. That is to say, Having a flat, living with a boyfriend, getting a job, and striving for perfection in the supposed haven of happiness.
However, it never felt right. Consequently, I left everything behind, relocated to another country, and started afresh. Yet, over time, the desire to fit in and conform resurfaced. Several years later, I moved to England to discover my authentic self.
♦Discovering her passion for photography.
This journey seemed never-ending, filled with countless mistakes and ups and downs. Yet, what truly matters is not how many times one falls. But how many times one rises again? This resilience defines me. I always manage to find my footing and attempt once more. Regardless of the challenges and the mixture of positive and negative emotions, I will always cherish the times spent during COVID lockdowns. During these periods, everything within me came alive, and I decided to pursue my passion for photography, transforming it into my new career and becoming a new version of myself.
♦London Fashion Week 2023 comes to Christine’s life.
I quickly realized that I was attracted to people as subjects to photograph. However, I turned to Eventbrite and obtained a ticket as a photographer for London Fashion Week last September. I attended out of curiosity, with no clear expectations. Everything changed when I entered the event: Firstly, the atmosphere, surrounded by other photographers and accompanied by music, was an incredible experience.
On the other hand, when the catwalks began, everything else faded away, and I felt truly alive for the first time. Witnessing the models breathe life into the designs they wore and expressing their uniqueness was awe-inspiring. I felt goosebumps when Camilla appeared, striding confidently like a tiger in her territory, completely blowing my mind. I only wanted to continue capturing those moments, to make them a part of me. This experience awakened my soul and ignited a deep passion within me. I am deeply in love with being a fashion photographer.

I am Christine, of French and Portuguese descent. I have been residing in England since 2004. Recently, I embarked on a journey from Windermere to Stroud and then to London, although the reason for this trip was unforeseen and beyond my control. Professionally, I am a passionate Fashion Photographer, deeply captivated by the art of capturing hidden emotions and fleeting moments between two clicks of my camera.
♦Think-Feel-Discover: Please share some of your childhood memories towards photography art.
I have only one memory of taking some family pictures, during which everyone expressed that my photos were disturbing and that people appeared different. Consequently, I ceased my involvement with photography and eventually forgot about my previous interest in it.
♦Think-Feel-Discover: When did you start shooting? How did this love for photography happen?
Accident or fate, photography became my passion. In 2013, a friend offered me the opportunity to try out their camera. Intrigued, I decided to take a few shots. As we reviewed the pictures, my friend was pleasantly surprised by my talent and recognized my innate eye for photography. Before I knew it, I received my first camera as a birthday gift, and gradually I self-learned.
