During London Fashion Week 2025 this February, I was excited to attend the Hong Kong Fashion show. Likewise, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) showcased a great lineup of talented Hong Kong fashion designers. Above all, I’m thrilled for you to experience their incredible creativity and commitment to sustainability through my lens! This event, organized by Fashion Scout London in partnership with the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in London, highlighted the innovative spirit of some of Asia’s most celebrated designers.

The ‘Fashion in Hong Kong’ show was not just a fashion event, but an exciting cultural experience that took place at the ‘lively Protein Studios’ in Shoreditch! However, the show at London Fashion Week featured stunning designs, highlighting the distinct art and skill of Hong Kong’s fashion scene. The runway was a vibrant display of colors, textures, and innovative designs. In short, highlighting sustainability’s importance by showcasing eco-friendly materials and practices.

This event marked a significant milestone for the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), as it was their first showcase since the pandemic. This return to the global stage was a testament to the resilience of the fashion industry. 1)Angus Tsui: Pioneering Sustainable Fashion with High-End Style.

In 2014, Angus Tsui started his own brand. It makes stylish and eco-friendly clothes. Before this, he studied at Nottingham Trent University and the Hong Kong Design Institute. While in London, he worked with recycling experts to learn about sustainable design. Tsui also set up a non-profit group called ANCares. It teaches people about sustainability through workshops, talks, and events. The group works with NGOs like St. James Settlement, Friends of the Earth, and Redress.

To sum up, he has worked with Swire Properties, Cathay Pacific, and H&M to make recycled uniforms and accessories. Tsui has won awards, including a Bronze at the 2017 DFA Design for Asia Awards, the 2017 Common Objective Prize, and the 2014 Hong Kong Young Design Talent Award.

Angus Tsui mixes fashion with sustainability. His designs show his creativity and care for the environment. He uses eco-friendly methods to create unique styles and colors. ♦Transforming Fashion: Angus Tsui’s Eco-Friendly Design Revolution

Experimental. Futuristic. Visionary. Angus Tsui’s designs mix fashion and futuristic ideas using clear, strong shapes and bold graphics. However, each piece highlights a plan to protect our planet. This focus on sustainability is a trend and a goal that inspires us all.The brand focuses on protecting the planet while making beautiful colors and shapes using eco-friendly methods. Angus Tsui’s work goes beyond typical trends, showing unique and different styles. Each piece is a strong reminder to live with meaning and care for the environment.

Angus is excited to celebrate his brand’s 10th year in business with the Giger: Perfect Organism collection. This second installment of the Giger series holds special significance, as it is inspired by the remarkable artistry of H.R. Giger, a major influence on the Angus Sui brand. To sum up, the collection has creative designs that look like they were made in the future. They have organic shapes, bright and unusual colors, and materials that are good for the environment.

2)How Bettie Jiang is Revolutionizing Sustainable Fashion.

Bettie Jiang studied fashion design and textiles at the London College of Fashion. She knows a lot about fabrics and pays attention to small details in her designs. After getting a master’s degree in Future Fashion, she became very interested in protecting the environment. Now, she makes clothes that don’t cause waste and uses only natural and eco-friendly materials. This helps her customers live in a more environmentally friendly way.

Bettie’s involvement in Alexander McQueen’s Spring/Summer 2009 collection has been significant. She shares McQueen’s fascination with nature and its influence on his fashion creations. McQueen was known for his commitment to promoting sustainable practices and his pursuit of balance in the fashion industry.

♦Bettie Jiang: From McQueen’s Studio to Unique Cuts – A Fresh Take on Stylish Designs

Bettie Jiang started her career in the U.K., learning British tailoring at Alexander McQueen’s studio. Her designs are stylish but not flashy. They have small details inspired by her time with McQueen. Bettie uses unique and uneven cuts, turning basic shapes into new forms. However,  this gives her collections a special look.

Moreover, the collection mixes the old Bauhaus style with today’s elegance. Jiang uses Bauhaus shapes and cuts patterns to avoid waste. Her designs focus on simplicity, usefulness, and a modern look. In short,  “Bauhaus Reverie” shows a love for creative design, while “Contemporary Elegance” mixes classic Bauhaus style with today’s elegance. This collection brings together old and new design ideas, showing both history and modern appeal.
